Ready to get your hands dirty and make our community even more beautiful and resilient?
We'd love for you to join us on Saturday, October 11th, at 9 AM as we install a brand new rain garden at Rosewood Park!
No experience is necessary—we're happy to show you the ropes!
Just bring yourself, and if you have them, please also bring water, gloves, and any digging tools you're willing to use. Don't worry if you don't have tools, though! We'll have plenty to borrow, a big batch of beautiful native plants, and some tasty snacks to keep our energy up.
All ages and abilities are welcome! Come on out and help us add this much-needed, nature-friendly feature to Rosewood Park.
Hope to see you there!
Gather with us at All Good Books to learn about native plants, how to improve flooding issues with a rain garden, and get a free native plant to take home with you!
What's a rain garden? Think of it as a bowl-shaped garden that slows stormwater runoff and allows it to soak into the ground, improving water quality, recharging groundwater, and mitigating flooding. It's like watershed restoration in your own yard!
Join us for this fun, free event. Coffee, beverages, and books available for purchase from All Good Books. Presentation starts at 6:30 PM.
