Gills Creek Watershed members, please join us for our annual members’ meeting on Tuesday, November 13th from 5:30 to 7:00pm at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church (6500 N. Trenholm Road. This is a wonderful opportunity to come and hear about our activities over the past year and how you can be part of our accomplishments this coming year.  Please come cast your votes for Board Members for the next three years.   

EDENS will be honored with the Watershed Wonder Award.   

Howard Duvall, Councilman, City of Columbia will provide updates regarding watershed work in the City and Gills Creek watershed.

Clean up of the Gills Creek hosted by the Gills Creek Watershed Association and the Columbia Water 

Saturday, October 20, 9:00-10:30am Meet at Rosewood Crossing (4400 Fort Jackson Blvd) 

Join us for a fun morning in the mud to pick up litter from Gills Creek.  Come to see who wins the "Litter-ally the strangest item ever" grand prize or just because you want to support the watershed.  

Supplies provided.  Dress to get messy.  All ages welcome...but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Adopt-a-Highway!

Saturday, November 17, 10am-noon
The GCWA along with Heathwood Hall has adopted South Beltline Blvd from Plowden Road to Bluff Road. Meet at InterTape Polymer Site parking lot 
The cleanups are scheduled 4 times a year on Saturdays.  Email coordinator@gillscreekwatershed.org for more details.

Gills Creek Elegies - A Photographic Essay

Noted photographer Gunars Strazdins donated twenty works to the Gills Creek Watershed Association in 2016. These 20 fine art prints were on exhibit in the City Hall gallery, and were available in a silent auction to benefit Gills Creek Watershed Association.

The remaining art work is still available and can be viewed in GCWA's online gallery.
